The University of Florida, Department of Psychology, in Gainesville, Fla., is conducting research into workplace-related experiences and attitudes of lesbian, gay and bisexual people in North America.
The objective of the study is to ascertain workplace needs of LGB individuals, as well as insights into discrimination and well being.
Participants must be 18-years-old or older, reside in the U.S., Canada or Mexico, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or some other sexual minority status (like queer, questioning, etc.) and be employed at the current time.

To the north in Minneapolis, OutFront Minnesota is developing a short documentary on intimate-partner violence (IPV) and LGBT relationships through their Anti-Violence Program.
There are limited films that discuss the subject and the project’s staff want to make sure that this film will add to the offering. They are specifically looking for those who are 18-years-old and older who have experienced IPV and are willing to share their stories on camera. Either identified or anonymous participants are welcome. The producers said that they “recognize that this can be a deeply personal and sometimes painful process. We encourage participants to do so only so far as it is an empowering process.”
Submissions must be postmarked no later than Feb. 29.
