Harriet Hancock LGBT Center recently revamped its logo
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Coming off a fresh logo and branding revamp, South Carolina’s only LGBT community center today announced the launch of their new website.
The Harriet Hancock LGBT Center has launched its new online presence as a part of a new year-long rebranding and outreach campaign. The site, located at lgbtcentersc.org, will serve as a hub of resources and information for LGBT and their allies across South Carolina.
The center is named after longtime community activist Harriet Hancock, a co-founder of the South Carolina Pride Movement, which presents the state’s annual Pride festival each fall. The center has been open since 1994 and offers a variety of services.
The center’s board is also working on developing a strategic plan to better meet the needs of LGBT people in South Carolina. A full needs assessment report will be issued later this year.
The Hancock Center’s new branding and website were made possible by a grant from the Fund for Southern Communities.
