In a news release today, QNotes announces special sponsorship opportunities for its coverage of the Democratic National Convention:
The 2012 Democratic National Convention is poised to make history for the LGBT community locally and nationally, as well as for the entire Charlotte and Carolinas region. As Charlotte prepares to host the national and international spotlight, the Democratic Party is poised to make history by adopting support for full marriage equality rights in its party platform.
QNotes will be there reporting on-the-ground with live updates from our reporters and photographers and community members, businesses and non-profits can pitch in to help make our coverage as extensive and thorough as possible. Special sponsorships of our DNC coverage start as low as $50 for individuals, $175 for non-profit organizations and $250 for businesses.
“The DNC represents an important milestone in Charlotte’s and North Carolina’s history,” says Matt Comer, QNotes editor. “By reaching out and including local community members, community groups and businesses in our coverage of this special occasion, we hope to offer the best news and features coverage possible while giving our sponsors exposure to our widely-read DNC reports.”
QNotes‘ DNC coverage is expected to draw record readership locally and nationally. The publication has partnered with nearly a dozen other LGBT news organizations across the country to syndicate its DNC news and features coverage.
DNC coverage sponsors receive a thumbnail advertisement at the footer of all online DNC coverage through August and September, as well as special mentions in our Aug. 18, Sept. 1 and Sept. 15 print editions. Additionally, sponsors will be thanked on a special recognition banner displayed at the qnotes booth at the Pride Charlotte Festival, Aug. 25-26, in Uptown Charlotte.
