HRC recruitment party slated
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Human Rights Campaign North Carolina Gala Table Captain Committee has announced that it will hold a recruitment party on Oct. 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Cathode Azure, 1820 South Blvd., Suite 106.
A short program will be take place at 6:45 p.m., where attendees will be able to learn about the upcoming gala dinner, “Missioon Equality!
Carpe Diem will provide hors d’oeurves. A cash bar will also be provided.

Chorus sets spooky dance
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One Voice Chorus will host its HalloQween dance on Oct. 26, 8 p.m.-midnight at Extravaganza Depot, 1610 N. Tryon St.
This first annual “ghoulish” dance party and scream factory fundraiser includes DJ Peter Presta, dancing, haunted warehouse full of uniquely spooky creatures, fortune tellers and a costume contest.
Tickets are $35 advance/$40 at the door. Attendees receive two complimentary drinks. A cash bar will be onsite.

Comedians gather to assist HRC
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — “Queer Queens of Qomedy,” a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign, will be held on Oct. 27, 8 p.m., at the Great Aunt Stella Center, 926 Elizabeth Ave. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
On hand will be Poppy Champlin, Karen Williams and Zach Tocynski.
Admission is $25 general/$40 VIP. VIP comes with preferred seating and a meet and greet with the cast.
Annual membership to the Human Rights Campaign is included in the admission price.
