GREENSBORO, N.C. — Equality NC Foundation has announced that it’s sixth annual Equality Conference & Gala will be held on Nov. 17.
The daytime portion will be held at Elliott University Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It brings LGBT North Carolinians and allies together for a day full of cutting-edge policy discussions and activist skills training.
The evening gala, which celebrates the collective achievements over the past year, will be held at the Empire Room, 203 S. Elm St. It is a fundraiser at which leadership awards are given to a legislative champion, along with equality champions in each of five regions across the state. They expect over 400 to attend each of its events who convene to fight for equality. Keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, president of the North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP
Sponsors and gala table captains are being sought. For those interested, email Kay Flaminio at email@example.com.
