Today, Friday, Oct. 12, is the deadline for voter registration in North Carolina. Those registering for the first time or those who need to update their voter registration must submit their forms in person or have them postmarked by today if they wish to vote in the general election on Nov. 6.
Those missing the voter registration deadline can register and vote in person at one-stop voting sites in their county of residence during the one-stop absentee voting period from Oct. 18 through Nov. 3. One-stop absentee voter registration requires acceptable proof of name and residence.
Visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections for more information on the voter registration process. You can also search for your current voter registration information.
