MeckPAC asks supporters for thoughts on Farrakhan (VIDEO)

The Mecklenburg LGBT Political Action Committee, or MeckPAC, is asking its supporters for their thoughts on Louis Farrakhan and attendance last weekend at his events by several local elected officials.
This morning, qnotes published its piece detailing how several elected officials, including openly lesbian Charlotte City Councilmember LaWana Mayfield, attended Farrakhan events in Charlotte, despite his record of anti-Semitic and anti-LGBT hate speech.
In response, MeckPAC took to their Facebook page asking, “MeckPAC supporters – what are your thoughts? Tell us what you think about elected officials attending the Louis Farrakhan event this past weekend.”
For context, the group said, they also linked to a May 2012 video in which Farrakhan challenges President Barack Obama on his support for marriage equality. In the video, Farrakhan draws a parallel between the biblical story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and present-day America. That video is below.
