CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte City Councilmember LaWana Mayfield (D-Dist. 3) will hold a town hall meeting for constituents on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The meeting will allow constituents and Mayfield to discuss updates on city street and other infrastructure projects, city planning, economic development initiatives, neighborhood matching grants and a small business development update from Mecklenburg County.
Mayfield will also discuss how constituents can better utilize their district representative in addressing needs in their area.
The town hall comes just two weeks after controversy arose from City Council’s closed-door meeting with the owner of the Carolinas Panthers. The NFL franchise is asking $125 million from the city to help with renovations.
The town hall will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 9:30 a.m.-Noon in the community room at Carolinas Medical Center Steele Creek, 13640 Steelecroft Parkway.
For more information about the meeting contact Kim Oliver in the Charlotte City Manager’s office at 704-336-2180 or via email at koliver@charlottenc.gov.
