Jim, Thomas and Chris have been in a polyamorous relationship for over a year now.

Three young gay men in a polyamorous relationship were featured on MTV’s “True Life” on Monday, Sept. 14. Exploring the topic of multiple partner relationships, the network profiled Charlotteans Jim Messaros, 20, Thomas Freyre, 21, and Chris Morgan, 22, and four other individuals living in New York City.

Jeremy Eudy, 22, of Midland, N.C., was also featured.

In May, the four young men appeared in a Q-Notes cover story. In an interview with Unzipped, Messaros said he thought local feedback after the article’s publication was negative.

On the day of the documentary’s premiere, the young men’s story was also featured on local radio station 96.1 FM and by local FOX affiliate during their 10 p.m. newscast on Sept. 14.

If you missed show, you can catch reruns on Wed., Sept. 16, 8 p.m.; and Thurs., Sept. 17, 11 a.m.
