Lots of folks have dream vacations. Sometimes, those dreams are mere fantasies. When people get the chance to fulfill those dreams and fantasies, the memories made often last a lifetime.
A resort in Curaçao, a small island in the Carribean, is hoping to help make some of those dreams come true. For those travelers that want a truly unique, slightly outdoor Carribean experience, Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club has the perfect get-away for you.
A member of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), Lodge Kura Hulanda has just put the finishing touches on a new addition to their resort — the Tree House Mansion. The resort says the accommodation offers a “unique, romantic escape in the Carribeaa, [a] luxury suite [creating] a memorable vacation experience.”
The two-bedroom, two-bath “mansion” sits atop wooden stilts among island foliage and “provides all the luxuries and comforts of a hotel with a unique safari twist.”
Its 1,312 square foot interior is decorated with an African vibe and filled with items and antiques collected by Lodge owner Jacob Gelt Dekker.
“It might be best described as Swiss Family Robinson meets African Safari on a Caribbean island,” says President and Director of Project Kura Hulanda Peter Heinen. “Jacob took great care and detail in designing the layout and décor and has created a surreal African experience here in Curaçao. Guests can enjoy the Caribbean sea, snorkeling, sand and sun during the day and then retreat into an African oasis at night.”
Lodge Kura Hulanda, a member of IGLTA and Travel Alternatives Group, has just put the finishing touches on a new accommodation option at the resort — the Tree House Mansion. Offering a unique, romantic escape in the Caribbean, this luxury suite creates a memorable vacation experience. Details are below and images available upon request.
Visitors are beckoned into the humble “tree-top” abode by a wooden spiral stair case leading into the open-air living room. The accommodation features an authentic Bali Bridal bed and a wide terrace perfect for sunset views over the crystal clear Carribean sea.
“It’s ideal accommodations for a unique family vacation experience, as well as a secluded, romantic getaway for two. Lodge Kura Hulanda is on the west end of Curaçao, situated on the cliffs overlooking the sea, which puts it in a spot that’s great for adventure and exploration. It’s set apart from the hustle and activity of the city, but close enough to Willemstad to take the free shuttle into town for the day to shop and explore and still have that experience,”stated Heinen.
For some, the Tree House Mansion will remain a fantasy — a nice dream to think about while tanning at Wrightsville Beach. Rates for the mansion start at $1,000 per night and range up to $1,500 per night, depending on the season.
