Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) will hold their annual ArtsFest, now called Sensoria, from April 12-17. This event focuses on the arts and it promises to enliven the senses and awaken the imagination.

There will be live music, history, literature, visual arts, performance art and culinary arts over the 6 day festival. Special guests from all over the country will attend the event. Alan Taylor, 1996 Pulitzer Prize Award winner, for his microhistory of the Cooperstown, N.Y., settlement, is scheduled to speak along with U.S. Poet Laureate Kay Ryan.

On April 13-15, the Great American Bake Sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items will be made by CPCC’s Cater Cuisine Class and the proceeds will go to Share Our Strength, an organization that provides food to hungry children.

Most events will be held at the college’s Central Campus, but go to sensoria.cpcc.edu to check events, locations, and times.
