With over 4,000 participants and fans from 44 leagues in North America, the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Association’s (NAGAAA) Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) is the world’s largest annual LGBT sporting event.

The Carolina Softball Association (CSA) wrapped up their spring season on July 29 with their championship tournament. Five Charlotte area teams battled the hot and humid conditions for the title of Top Team.

The Bingham Cup is the largest amateur international rugby tournament in the world. That’s right, in the world. And, this year, the Charlotte Royals joined in on the fun and went to Manchester for a cold, wet weekend of rugby, camaraderie, brotherhood and Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee in jolly ol’ England.

The Big Peach Softball Tournament was held during Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta, Ga. The event brought together 47 teams in three divisions, all looking to bring home the coveted crystal peach trophy.

The first annual Duck Invitational Tournament was held in Atlanta, Sunday, March 11. The event was graciously hosted by the Atlanta Ducks Softball Club in College Park. Teams from Tennessee and Georgia competed in C and D level divisions, in a single elimination style tournament.
