June 23, 2012 in Transilluminations by Eva Hayward

With the passing of Amendment 1, my Facebook feed has been flooded with reactions. Voter intimidation: One family held close as they cast their ballot while protestors yelled, “homosexual marriage endangers children!”

Miss Universe and the politics of transgender beauty

May 26, 2012 in Transilluminations by Eva Hayward

Miss Universe: A laudable honorific. Mistress of not just our lowly solar system, but intergalactically so, outranking even Miss Whirlpool Galaxy and Miss Omega Centurai. February 4, 2012 in Transilluminations by Eva Hayward

Romeo and Juliet, warring sides joined by love. Species hybridize, becoming more than themselves. I think marrying differences is living well.

January 7, 2012 in Transilluminations by Eva Hayward

A love affair broke out between a transsexual woman — male to female — and a transgender man — female to male.
