LGBT and ally youth summit apps available

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Campus Pride and the HRC North Carolina Gala have announce that the 2013 Campus Pride and HRC Carolinas College Summit will be held Feb. 22-23, in conjunction with the annual gala.

The summit will include leadership training, resources for creating change on campus, guest speakers and networking opportunities for LGBTQ and ally college students from across the Carolinas.

Group surveys LGBT youth

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Are you 13-25 and live in North or South Carolina? If so, then you are invited to participate in Time Out Youth’s (TOY) LGBTQ Youth and Young Adult Survey.

TOY is embarking on this query on a regional scale to take a look at what youth are saying and experiencing to enable TOY to advocate for those needs.

Participants must meet the Feb. 1 deadline. A drawing for a $50 iTunes gift card is available for those who complete the survey.

To join in, visit surveymonkey.com/s/TOYlgbtq2013. They want to gather a good cross section of responses and ask that the survey be shared within the Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr communities, as well as friends and associates.
