A sticky issue

Editor's Note

What’s up? Not much. Bored. U lookin’?

Oh, uh… hi. Didn’t see you there. Let me close my laptop. I was totally just talking to an old friend from high school.

Yeah, right, the chorus sounds.

This issue is Q-Notes’ first annual S.E.X. Issue. The content inside is certainly Sensual. And, boy, is it Erotic. And, I’m definitely Xtatic that this issue’s editorial content is bold and edgy. You know how I like to push the envelope.

The Q-Notes staff is hoping this issue will be a landmark — so we’re taking the paper’s content to new levels.

You’ll have a chance to read about “reality porn” and how it is slowly taking over the traditional, big studio porn production companies. We’ll explore the world of online cruising, from ManHunt to Craigslist. We’ll offer you some fun and exciting tips for better lovemaking. You’ll get a peek into Q-Notes’ parent company’s more sordid, adult past life. Our online exclusive content this issue includes a queer sex dictionary and more.

The staff is plenty aware that we’ll get some feedback on this issue — some of it will praise the content and some of the feedback will condemn it. Perhaps this issue will prove to be the barometer of just how far that envelope can be pushed in the Carolinas LGBT community.

We’re a fairly liberal and progressive bunch, but, no doubt, still plenty Southern. Hopefully, our content won’t infringe on our delicate (and sometimes oh so prudish) Southern tastes.

We understand that some of you might be offended by such blatant and open discussion of sex and sexuality. If you’re among those who’d rather not read such material, we hope you’ll simply pass on this issue and pick up our next street edition, or head online and read only the specific articles you like.

For all of you whose tastes allow for a bit more flavor, have fun. Don’t think for a second that we didn’t when putting this issue together.

As always, send your feedback, comments, questions, rants, raves, complaints and what-have-you to editor@q-notes.com.
