Women’s band releases CD

Launch party approaching

BOONE, N.C. — The Mountain Laurels will showcase their new “Edge of the Dance” CD during release party on March 6, 8 p.m., at Lost Province, 130 Depot St.

The group of five women is a blend of both lesbians and straight women. Though they do not consider themselves an LGBT band; they are inclusive.

Their musical repertoire includes Celtic, Americana and Classical music. They have brought their musicality to same-sex weddings and have hit the stage at Boone Pride on numerous occasions.
