Research Roundup: Climate survey participants sought

Carolinas News Notes

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network is conducting its ninth National School Climate and is seeking participants to help gain perspectives and documentation on anti-LGBT bias and harassment in grades K-12.

The anonymous survey also provides a chance for LGBT youth to speak out about their experiences. Information gathered will help educational policymakers and the public to learn about the culture and climate of U.S. schools.

LGBT youth who attended high school or middle school sometime during the past school year (2014-2015) and who are at least 13-years-old are eligible to participate, organizers said. Youth who did not complete the entire 2014-2015 school year are also eligible.
