CHARLOTTE — Metrolina AIDS Project, the Charlotte-Metro area’s largest AIDS service organization, will be featured during a CBS documentary on HIV/AIDS in the American South this weekend, Saturday, Aug. 16 and Sunday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m.

MAP officials said the organization hosted news crews from CBS’ headquarters in New York City Aug. 6-7.

Executive Director Ann C. White and Associate Director Bob Oltz said in a press release Wednesday they were delighted to have MAP open its doors to news organization.

“We are a professional team with a mission, and we are committed to honoring that mission as the largest HIV/AIDS service organization in the region,” said White. CBS spoke with and interviewed several staff members about their roles at MAP.

White added, “This is national exposure for MAP,” said Ann White.
