Juneteenth in Charlotte

This past weekend was fabulous. Gorgeous weather — not too hot and not too humid. (Okay, so, I take that back. It was pretty hot and humid. But, it could have been worse.)

It was a busy weekend, too. qnotes staff was going into production on our June 26 print issue and I had the PFLAG Carolinas conference to attend in Salisbury. Still, I managed to take a break early Sunday afternoon to travel down to Charlotte’s Independence Park for the 13th annual Juneteenth of the Carolinas festival. Plenty of vendors, festival-goers and music. Fun times.
