Backward, hillbilly homophobes

That is a nasty legacy Charlotte will never be rid of, it seems. Thank you so much, Joe Chambers and “Gang of Five” for your fit of outrageous, utterly incomparable hate and censorship. If Charlotte’s gotta be famous for something, might as well be for hating on the gays, right?

But, on a serious note: Charlotte’s and Mecklenburg County’s anti-gay legacy might be more realistic than mere stereotype. In over a decade, progress on LGBT issues has been slim-to-none and from the looks of things will remain that way for a long time to come. (Especially if Michael Brown has anything to do with it.)

  1. shocking very much so, using a dehumanizing word to describe those bigots in your city….

Oh everyone ignore SNT. Every regular reader or commenter on this site knows he has no sense of humor and is the state’s biggest queer jackass. He’s always got an opinion. Now, if we could teach him to pick his battles and use proper grammar and spelling we might just make him useful. Short of that, he’s just like one of those annoying gnats that likes to fly around your face. Eventually you swat it and all is better.

  3. at least i not using trademark name for my self, Oscar… whats wrong, hate when someone points out just how f*ck the lgbt use, and that we can be bigots as well
