RALEIGH — Statewide LGBT advocacy group Equality North Carolina has announced the nationally-respected leaders to speak at its second annual N.C. Equality Conference. The group has also announced the recipient of its second Legislative Leadership Award.
Among other regional and local panelists and speakers, keynote speakers at the Nov. 15 conference at Duke University will include Kate Kendell of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, H. Alexander Robinson of the National Black Justice Coalition and Mara Keisling of the National Center for Transgender Rights.
That evening at the Nasher Museum of Art, Rep. Paul Luebke will be honored for his leadership on LGBT issues with the group’s Legislative Leadership Award.
