Has anyone ever said to you — Oh, you’re a worrywart? I know I have been called one. And if we are honest with ourselves, we would all say that we have, at some time in our life, been a worrywart.
Life has many transitions. Some of life’s major transitions include our birth, our decision regarding whether to go to college and where to go, our recognition of our sexual preference, our decision as to whether to commit to a life-long relationship with someone, our decision whether to have children, our adjustment to death of loved ones and our relationship of faith with our Creator.
All of us that are LGBT Christians have had a difficult journey in life. We have suffered from persecution and judgment because we are different. That persecution and judgment, whether it be from family, friends, coworkers or strangers, has beaten us down to the point that we frequently question our worth as a person and our worth to our God and Jesus, our Savior.
