Walk for AIDS Comments
House of Mercy's 2017 Walk for AIDS is our 24th annual walk to raise AIDS awareness and funds to support our home and compassionate care for low-income persons living with AIDS. Hundreds of participants raise donations in support of their three-mile walk through historic downtown Belmont. The first 300 participants raising $50 or more receive a free Walk for AIDS T-shirt. A picnic reception with DJ and dancing follows the walk on the House of Mercy grounds. Free STD/HIV testing will be offered.
Our goal is to raise awareness of the continuing HIV/AIDS epidemic in the US and NC; let our region know about House of Mercy's services for low-income persons living with AIDS; celebrate our 26 years of service; and raise $41,500 for House of Mercy. Check out our website to set up an online personalized Peer-to-Peer fundraising page to spread the word about your walk. Easy to do!
