Chamber celebrates holidays, honors community members

Last month, the Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce celebrated the holiday season in festive style, as well as conducted its final business of the calendar year with its sold out “Shimmer, Shine & Success!” event held at The Westin. The event was also graced by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper.

The Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce has announced that eight local businesses have been awarded LGBT Business Enterprise certification through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce Supplier Diversity Initiative.

Lesbian author Paula Martinac will speak about her novel, “The Ada Decades,” on June 18, the Charlotte LGBT Chamber of Commerce will hold its Pride in Business Expo on June 26, Carolina Voices’ 18-member ensemble Impromptu will present its “Creative A Cappella” season finale concert on June 23 and the Charlotte Pride Band has a new artistic director, Dr. John Ross, and an assistant director, Cameron Elliott.
