The Movement Advancement Project (MAP) and Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE) have released “Telling a New Southern Story: LGBTQ Resilience, Resistance, and Leadership,” a new report examining the experiences and advocacy strategies of LGBTQ people in the U.S. South. The report was released in partnership with the Equality Federation.
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation and the Equality Federation Institute have released their 5th annual State Equality Index (SEI), a comprehensive report detailing statewide laws and policies that affect LGBTQ people and their families, and assessing how well states are protecting LGBTQ people from discrimination.
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, in partnership with the Equality Federation, has reported that Greensboro, N.C. is in the number one spot in North Carolina for LGBTQ inclusion in municipal law and policy with a score of 80 points. The total number of cities rated numbered 506 from across the nation.
