Time Out Youth Continues to Serve Those in Need During COVID-19

Time Out Youth Center (TOY) has been serving the LGBTQ youth population of the Charlotte region for decades and their housing support programs have never been more important than in 2020, as a pandemic rages on across the region.

Justin Clapp, more commonly known as J. Clapp, is the interim executive director at the LGBTQ Center of Durham in North Carolina. Clapp also holds two other positions: one as a director at Duke University in the university’s Office of Access and Outreach, and the other as founder and chair of Pride: Durham.

Time Out Youth Center (TOY) and the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte (MSC) has formed a partnership to help LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness in Charlotte.
