Time Out Youth Center Executive Director Rodney Tucker announced the launch of a pilot program, Q Chat Space, to provide online support groups for LGBTQ teens in collaboration with CenterLink: The Community of LGBT Centers.
Sherry Kelley, a film producer from California, had the opportunity to speak to the television and video production class at Methodist University about her documentary project, “A Place Called Home,” which tells the story of what it is like to be a homeless LGBT youth.
In early July 2016, the National PTA (known historically as the Parent Teacher Association) adopted the “Recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) Individuals as a Protected Class” resolution at its annual convention and expo held in Orlando, Fla.
