Today, Biden for President NorthCarolinaannounced its has put together a LGBTQ Leadership Council, a part of the national OUT for Biden program. The Council will work to elevate the diverse voices of the LGBTQ community across the Tar Heel state.
Pride events in Charlotte grew out of the activism of the 1970’s, such as the short-lived Charlotte Gay Alliance co-founded by the late Don King in 1972, and a chapter of Dignity, organized in 1977, and later changed to Acceptance to expand its diversity and outreach.
Sept. 29, 2018 is a big day for the LGBTQ community in North Carolina with three Pride events all taking place on the same day.
