Former Vice President (and likely Democratic presidential nominee) Joe Biden won New Jersey’s Democratic primary as he continues securing his formal nomination scheduled to take place at the party’s convention in August.
While there are still more primaries scheduled to take place, Former Vice President Joe Biden has officially earned the number of pledged delegates in order to secure the Democratic nomination for president of the United States.
Picking up from last issue’s primary watch on May 29, at press time the results of Hawaii’s Democratic presidential primary that took place on May 22 had not yet been made available. Former Vice President Joe Biden won the Aloha state’s primary with 63.2 percent of the final vote.
If one thing is true of the 2020 Democratic primary elections, they are sure to leave a mark in U.S. history as being one of the longest and most drawn-out primary elections the country has ever seen. Voting delays are now considered the norm.
