It’s that time of the year when the LGBTQ community sets out to celebrate Pride Month. To keep the tradition going, here is a list of the celebrations taking place all over the Carolinas.
After nine months of preparation, the seventh annual Out! Raleigh festival faced an unfortunate closure due to extreme weather. High-speed winds in the early afternoon of May 6 blew down vendors’ tents and threatened injury to attendees. Organizers decided to cancel the festival on Saturday, which was scheduled for 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at 2 p.m.
City Plaza welcomes back the Out! Raleigh festival on May 6, an annual event benefiting the LGBT Center of Raleigh. The festival is traditionally family friendly, with a KidsZone, live entertainers, local artists and vendors, and of course, a plethora of food options to make any foodie’s mouth water.
Stan Kimer, president of Total Engagement Consulting by Kimer, and Darren Noy, CEO of Kannetic, launched a new cloud-based application and Out! Raleigh has begun its planning for the seventh annual festival which will be held on May 6.
