The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit affirmed on Aug. 7 a lower court ruling that required a suburban Jacksonville, Fla. school district to treat transgender student Drew Adams equally by allowing equal access to the restroom that matches his gender.

Campus Pride released its 2019 Shame List highlighting 150 of “The Absolute Worst Campuses for LGBTQ Youth.” The 2019 online list shows another year of consecutive increases from higher education institutions receiving Title IX religious exemptions to openly discriminate against LGBTQ individuals.

The U.S. Supreme Court vacated a lower court ruling and chose not to hear the case brought to it by Gavin Grimm and the City Council of the City of West Hollywood-approved an item that directs City of West Hollywood staff to take steps in prohibiting West Hollywood City Hall from doing business with entities that provide financial or other benefits to the President of the United States or his revocable trust.
