Community Marketing, Inc. (CMI) has been surveying the LGBT community since 1994. A gay-owned, independent market research company, CMI is inviting Q-Notes readers to participate in the largest LGBT Community Survey ever conducted. By completing the survey, you can help demonstrate the growing power of the national gay and lesbian community. Your answers are completely confidential, and will not be used for any direct marketing or solicitation.
Spend 15 minutes online taking CMI’s gay/lesbian survey — you might win free airline tickets, and you’ll let the world know about the LGBT buying strength of the Carolinas.
Everyone who completes the survey by May 15, 2007 will be entered into a drawing to win one of four free airline tickets to/from any of the participating airlines’ destinations in the 48 continental U.S. states, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Some restrictions apply.
About the survey
Tremendous strides toward full equality have been achieved by our communities over the past decade. Gay and lesbian survey studies have opened doors and minds in several leading corporations and organizations. They have recognized the value of their LGBT employees by establishing equal hiring practices and domestic partner benefits. This has lead to sweeping changes in political and social inclusiveness. Demographic reports also influence marketing investment. Virtually absent until recently, we now see a growing variety of products and services represented in gay media, celebrating our diversity, and keeping our community-based publications and websites in business. Beyond advertising, these companies also support us in other ways, such as sponsorship of community events and funding local charities. Participating in this annual study helps us demonstrate the LGBT community’s growing power, and influences positive changes.
The entire survey consists of 55 questions, asking for information about your purchasing habits, what pets you own, the type of car you drive, etc. It takes about 15 minutes to complete and taking part in it will show companies globally the LGBT buying power of North and South Carolina.
